Constipation and neck pain in a six-year-old girl. A 6-year-old girl suffering from constipation, neck pain, gastrointestinal pain and vertebral subluxations was brought in for chiropractic care. The child’s subluxations were located and corrected. Mother and patient reported bowel movements improving from once every 4-5 days to every day along with resolution of gastrointestinal pain and neck pain. (5)

Colic, constipation and sleep problems. A two-week-old male baby had excessive crying, abdominal distension, constipation, gas and disrupted sleep. Vertebral subluxations were identified and chiropractic care was applied to reduce vertebral subluxations in the pelvis and lumbar and cervical spine. The child experienced a bowel movement immediately following the first adjustment. Continued care led to regular bowel movements, a decrease in crying and improved sleep. (11)

Birth-induced facial asymmetry
A four-day-old boy had facial asymmetry (distortion of the face) from a difficult birth. He also suffered from constipation, excess saliva and intestinal gas. Upon examination his chiropractor located vertebral and cranial subluxations.
Chiropractic care was implemented to reduce and eliminate the child’s subluxations. This was followed by a dramatic improvement in the child’s facial asymmetry, constipation and intestinal gas. (3)

Chiropractic and Bed-Wetting
Bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis) and chiropractic. Thirty-three patients (3 to 18 years old) who had nocturnal enuresis were placed under chiropractic care in this study.
An analysis of their records showed that 22 had resolution of symptoms for 12 months after beginning chiropractic care. Most of the children received two adjustments. Ten of those with bedwetting also found their constipation resolved. (2)
